more runnin'

A 50-minute run this morning in the somewhat humid air. Felt pretty good.
This entire year has been a struggle, running and otherwise. It's good to know that I can get up early and get a run in before work.
I was supposed to meet our hoops coach, but he slacked off. To top it off, I was about 15 minutes into the run and I saw him returning home from getting a cup of coffee at the store. Slacker.

Monday's run was about 8 miles, running on some streets in town that I haven't been on before and I doubt I'll run on again. Some seedy neighborhoods I haven't seen before. The one lady looking at me like I was a piece of candy unnerved me a little bit. I picked up the pace at that point.

Gator Gallop in Lake Jackson on Saturday. Don't be scared. It's a nice race, flat course.

Last Sunday and today were track work. Felt good both times. The stadium steps were tough both days.

Sunday - Ran a couple miles to the track, where I ran 4 200s, 1 quarter and part of another. Then ran a little more than 2 miles back to the house.

update on my no-running self

Two months have gone by and I've ran only 25 days. Ran only 10 days in February, totalling just over 63 miles.
I ran on Feb. 3 and didn't run again until the 12th. Then I ran on Feb. 20 and didn't run again until the 26th.
Total mileage for the year is 163, including the 6 I ran on March 2.

What to make of it? I'm not sure.
I've had a lot going on. I've really taken to sleeping an hour later every morning and not getting in a run before work. I've been busy at work, but I've been busy before.
The motivation is not there like it was.
I'm hoping to get it back.
